Sorrel Restaurant and Lounge, situated in Avondale just opposite the flea market, offers more than just great authentic Jamaican food – it’s a dining and entertainment experience – including food, drinks, music and a laid back Caribbean atmosphere.
How it started
Sorrel is collaboration and a cooperative effort of a marriage between Robert and Mary Moore, a Jamaican and Zimbabwean couple. We spoke to Moore on the phone to find out more. Moore pointed out that there are many similarities between Jamaica and Zimbabwe in terms of the culture, music and the lifestyle.
